Mohammad Daaboul (born in 1950 in Damascus, Syria) is an entrepreneur and industrialist. He began his career after graduating from the Mathematics Department at the Faculty of Science, Damascus University in 1974. In 1976 He founded the Madar Group, a leading manufacturer of aluminum, Rolling Shutters, glass, and related accessories in Syria, as well as Orbit Company in Jordan and Setara and Canex companies in Egypt.

Mr. Daaboul focuses on social and environmental responsibility in addition to business success. He was one of the pioneers in development programs implemented in Syria at the beginning of this century, such as industrial apprenticeships, support for small and medium-sized enterprises, and scholarships for young men and women in Syria.

Mr. Daaboul also personally oversaw a long-term project to document Syria’s natural and archaeological heritage visually and geographically, resulting in several publications about Damascus and its surrounding countryside. He is active in business associations both in Syria and abroad. During the period (2005-2009), he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Damascus and Rural Damascus Chamber of Industry, and President of the Syrian-Canadian Businessmen Association since 2005 till now. He was also elected Executive Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Arab Federation of Engineering Industries from 2018 till 2021, and President of the Federation’s Board of Directors since 2022 till now. He has been a member of the Federation’s Board of Directors since 2001 and is one of the founding members of the Federation’s regional office in Damascus.

Given his interest in science and global developments in the field of aluminum, he is always keen to attend international conferences and exhibitions showcasing the latest advancements in the aluminum industry.
