- Good professional reputation, integrity and ethical conduct
- Experience or background that enables meaningful participation
- Where applicable, membership of a recognised chamber or licensed professional body
- Not subject to international sanctions
- No conviction for serious offences involving fraud, corruption or dishonesty

Who can become a SYCAB member?
Businesses, entrepreneurs, professionals, investors, startups, SMEs, organizations, students and young professionals who support SYCAB’s objectives may apply, subject to the association’s membership criteria.
Do I need to be Syrian or Canadian to join?
No. SYCAB’s mission is to strengthen economic and professional connections between Canada and Syria, and membership is open to individuals and organizations who share that vision, subject to the association’s criteria.
Can businesses outside Canada and Syria join?
International businesses and organizations interested in Canada–Syria economic cooperation may be eligible for appropriate membership categories, subject to SYCAB’s policies.
